SECHC aims to give any person affected by cancer an opportunity to explore ways which may help them to cope with their situation. Confidentiality is always maintained. The Centre aims to respect and support them in the choices they make and to provide individual and group support, complementary therapies and information within a friendly, caring environment. These services have local NHS recognition.
On the 5th May 2012, Jenny Rayner and her family were tragically faced with the impact of mental illness, when their daughter Lucy took her own life aged just 22.
This life changing event inspired Jenny and her family to begin campaigning about the mental health challenges faced by young adults, and they quickly found that the support and help available to recognise and treat young adults with mental health challenges is woefully inadequate and significantly underfunded.
Surrey Community Development Trust was originally founded in 1972 to provide accommodation for offenders, helping them to build a life away from crime. The organisation received investment and support from Surrey Probation & Aftercare Service.
A young and energetic probation officer, Bruce Pearce, was seconded to work on the project from 1971 to 1976 and became the charity’s first director. Bruce headed a team that set up hostels for ex-offenders and homeless people in Farnham, Reigate, Epsom, Milford, Guildford and Woking.

As an environmental charity, we are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!
